The Missouri Department of Social Services (DSS) is currently awaiting approval on a new program called ‘Missouri SuN Bucks,’ aimed at helping families buy groceries for their school-aged children during the summer.
At this time, Missouri SuN Bucks is pending approval. However, families should start preparing for when the program launches. DSS would like local education agencies to include this SuN Bucks graphic and information in emails or newsletters to families. This information gives a high-level overview of the program and encourages families to subscribe for email alerts and to update their address if they have SNAP or Temporary Assistance.
NOTE: If families have more questions about the program, please direct them to subscribe for email alerts. DSS will send out information to individuals who subscribe.
We are excited to share another MCR-IV Alumni Spotlight!
Eric Souther, Class of 2005
1. My favorite thing about MCR-IV was the small class sizes and personal attention from the teachers, It always felt like home. I also enjoyed being able to participate on the sports teams, in particular baseball and basketball.
2. I am currently an Assistant Professor of Kinetic Imaging teaching art and technology at Western Michigan University and a working artist sharing my work in film festivals, galleries, and museums around both nationally and internationally. I owe a lot to my MCR-IV art teacher Mrs. King for believing in and supporting my passion. I went to the Kansas City Art Institute post-graduation and fell in love with Art and Technology, getting my Bachelor of Fine Art, in New Media in 2009. I went on to get a Master of Fine Art in Electronic Integrated Art from the New York College of Ceramics at Alfred University in 2011. I have been in higher education since teaching art and technology with a focus on Video Art. I truly love what I do, it never quite feels like work. Follow your passions fellow Raiders!
